Bowel noise

Hi, my tummy and bowel are making loud noises, simular to the noise pre op. I am on round 4 of chemo and had lots of bowel removed, (no Stoma) but I am 4 months ost op and noise is shocking, do I need to worry :x:

Hi @Graham street
Thanks for posting here, the nurses don't work on weekends so will be back in the office tomorrow. I'm sure they'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Have you had chance to chat with your chemo team about this?
Could I ask how your toilet habits are (solid or runny, frequent, urgent etc). It may help the nurses give you personalised advice.
Big hugs

Sarah-support and information

Hi @Graham street we spoke a couple of months ago when I was in the fundraising department and I hope you are managing to catch up with The Lions/ England tours?
As @Bear Gst has mentioned our senior nurse, Charlotte, is not in the office today but will be able to reply tomorrow.
but in the meantime if you need further medical advice do contact your chemo team. Sarah :x:

Charlotte Nurse Advisor

Dear @Graham street,

Sorry to hear you are having some unpleasant symptoms. As @Bear Gst mentioned do you have any other bowel symptoms such as urgency or diarrhoea? It is possible that the chemo is upsetting your bowel a bit but I would definitely mention it to your team when you are next in or call your nurse specialist.

With kind regards,
