Traveling with a picc line

Hi just asking those who have flown with a picc line, I’m off on Boxing Day to France, do I need to let anyone know or should I do anything special? Nothing like last minute checking ??

Hi @rebeccao
I had a groshong line which is similar to a picc, I flew to Germany, Spain and the US without problems.
It’s a good idea to have a doctors note to say that you’re ok to travel but this isn’t essential.
I made a point of telling them before going through the scanner but again never had a problem.

One important tip is to have any important meds in your carry on baggage in its original box with your name on. This is so that if your hols bags are lost or delayed then you still have your meds.

Have a fab time!!
Big hugs
